The Gold Note PSU-1250 is a premium external power supply designed for compatible Gold Note 1000 Series components, including the CD-1000 MkII, P-1000 MkII and PH-1000. It uses a sophisticated Dual Choke inductive filtering system to provide cleaner, more stable power while reducing electrical and RF interference that can affect audio performance.
The PSU-1250 features a 7-transformer architecture, with four transformers dedicated to the power stage, one providing galvanic isolation for the audio stage, and three dedicated to the Dual Choke inductive filter. It incorporates seven ultra-low-noise voltage regulators, with >80 dB line and common-mode noise rejection and a maximum output-voltage variation of just 0.05%.
With over 300 W of dynamic power, the PSU-1250 is Gold Note's more powerful external supply compared with the PSU-1000. It also provides selectable absolute phase control from the front panel and is housed in the same 430 mm-wide chassis format used by other 1000 Series components.
