What are The Sound Room's domestic shipping costs and delivery times for audio equipment within Canada?

All shipping costs differ based on the piece of equipment. All taxes, discounts, and shipping are calculated at checkout. 

If you would prefer to see and buy the item in person, please feel free to stop by our Vancouver location!

What is The Sound Room's return and exchange policy for online orders?

At The Sound Room, we want to ensure you are satisfied with your high-fidelity audio experience. Because of the precision nature of our products, we adhere to a strict return policy to ensure every customer receives equipment in pristine condition.

  • All returns or exchanges must be initiated within 10 business days of receiving your item. After this period, all sales are considered final.
  • To qualify for a return or exchange, items must be in brand-new, unopened, and mint condition. We cannot accept returns on equipment that has been unboxed or used.
  • Before returning any item, you must call us to obtain a Return/Exchange Authorization Number. Packages sent to us without this number clearly marked on the outside will be refused and returned to the sender.
  • Restocking Fee: All eligible returns and exchanges are subject to a 15% restocking fee. This fee is waived only for confirmed defective items.
  •  Return shipping and insurance are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Any shipping fees originally paid by The Sound Room to get the product to you will be deducted from your final refund amount.

The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

  • Opened Headphones (for hygiene and safety reasons).
  • Special Order Items specifically requested for you.
  • Discounted or Sale Items.
  • Used Items or items missing original packaging/receipts.
  • If your product is found to be defective, you will need to contact The Sound Room and we will troubleshoot the problem and if this cannot be resolved we will either replace the item or refund you. 

How can I check the current status of my order, including tracking information, after checkout?

What are the current hours of operation for The Sound Room's showroom and listening rooms?

The Sound Room is open from 10-5 Tuesday-Saturday. We take appointments on Mondays & Sundays if you cannot make it during regular business hours. 

To book an appointment, please call us at (604) 736-7771. 

After hours each Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, we have Vinyl Thursdays. To RSVP, email us at sales@soundroom.ca for attendance. 

What is Vinyl Thursdays?

It is an event we run each week. We offer LP cleaning service (three LPs for $5 each) and then LP listening on the reference audio system. 

We are also offering 10% off all vinyl accessories, tonearm cables, cartridges, tonearms, and turntables from Audio Technica, Acoustic Solid, Transrotor, Ortofon, Hana, Simaudio Moon, NAD, Audioquest, Kimber, Isoacoustics, TW Acustic, Soundsmith, Pro-Ject, Kimber, Audioquest, and MoFi, and more

Does The Sound Room offer price matching for products found at other authorized dealers/Canadian retailers?

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. Please contact The Sound Room to discuss pricing. 

How are product warranties handled, and what are the coverage terms for major brands sold by The Sound Room?

At The Sound Room, different manufacturers offer different warranties. Please keep proof of purchase to ensure your warranty is handled properly.
