The Gold Note DS-5.2 is a compact, fully balanced streamer DAC and digital preamplifier designed to bring high-end performance and flexibility to modern audio systems. Inspired by the successful DS-10 EVO platform, it offers a more compact and accessible approach without compromising Gold Note’s focus on musical accuracy, naturalness and build quality.
DS-5.2 supports Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect and Spotify Lossless HD, along with Bluetooth In/Out, HDMI eARC and a dedicated digital output for use as a pure streamer. A colour touchscreen with album artwork provides an intuitive interface, while the integrated line preamplifier allows it to connect directly to a power amplifier or active system.
Its fully balanced architecture is designed to minimise noise and interference while preserving dynamics, spatial depth and tonal coherence. Gold Note’s development approach centres on extensive reference recordings, with the goal of reproducing the character and intent of the original recording rather than adding artificial detail or coloration.
The DS-5.2 is also upgradeable with the PSX-5.2 external power supply, allowing improved control, stability and dynamic performance as the system evolves. Designed, assembled and tested in Italy, it represents Gold Note’s Series 5.2 philosophy of making sophisticated high-end digital audio more compact, accessible and versatile.
