Vancouver's Kitsilano neighborhood has been home to The Sound Room for over 35 years.
The first store at 2803 West Broadway was founded in 1974 by a small group of audiophiles.
In 1994, it moved a few blocks north to 2205 West 4th Avenue and is now “back on Broadway” at its present location at 2025 West Broadway.
The Sound Room has always been a fully independent, Canadian-owned business. It is, to this day operated by the original founder.
The owners have been an integral part of the Vancouver audio scene since the early beginnings in the seventies and are accredited with introducing some of the world’s best known brands of speakers and electronics to BC and Canada.
While other stores have dramatically reduced their market presence or disappeared completely as a result of economic challenges, The Sound Room withstood the turmoil and went on to raise the bar on the personal audio-video experience. High performance and high value home audio/video is what we do and we do it very well.
